An essential tool for detecting fatigue cracks under paint !
Visual inspection of structures:
Detection of deformations, cracks, reinforcement failures, and any visible defects. In case of doubt about the presence of a crack, non-destructive testing is performed (ACFM and/or Magnetic Particle Inspection).
In-depth inspection of structures or nodes :
Inspection using ACFM. If a defect is detected, systematic confirmation is performed using Magnetic Particle Inspection (Note: ACFM allows inspection without removing the anti-corrosion coating, whereas Magnetic Particle Inspection requires prior paint stripping).
